Die Konsequenz

...that would be "The Consequence" in English, is a German tv film from 1977 by Wolfgang Petersen (Troy, Poseidon) that tells the story of a gay actor, Martin Kurath(Jürgen Prochnow), who is imprisoned because of seduction of minor (is this the correct judicial term?). It's quite obvious that if the minor in question had been a girl, he wouldn't have been arrested, though.
In prison, he starts to rehearse for a play with his fellow prisoners and meets Thomas(Ernst Hannawald), the son of a warden. They fall in love and plan to live together after Martin's release, but this turns out to be even more difficult than they expected.
