Because I'm bored right now and going through my endless list of YouTube favorites. And we could all use a little boy on boy love, right? Some have probably been posted before, but it won't hurt anything to see them again.

-Warning- Lots of videos so probably not too dial-up friendly

Boy love is the best kind!! )

So, I've been seeing commercials on TV for the new DVD of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and it came to my attention that the cover of the DVD seems to bear an amazing similarity to the movie poster for Brokeback Mountain. It looks like the same font was used for both movie titles.

And now, some visual aids:

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid )

So, there you have it. Could this just be a coincidence, or is there a slash-happy marketing genius out there somewhere trying to tell us something? Hmmm...

a friend pointed me to this. it's silly but just too amusing and well done NOT to share XD the way they chose the shots to use it really matches the BBM trailers so well it's hard not to be amused, despite the OMGSOWRONGness of the pairing being implied. ;D!

have any of you seen the indie flick "Wilde" about Oscar Wilde and his affairs? Jude Law stars in it, and you see tons of man on man action in the movie...I liked it!

It hasn't been released yet, but it's already causing quite a stir, by the sounds of things!

From the Sydney Morning Herald

And now for something completely different...Early this year, Australia held a tsunami relief concert/telethon. Every free-to-air station in the country aired it. One of the greatest moments was when Aussie favourites Bert Newton and Rove McManus were dared to kiss live on camera (apparently someone called in saying he'd donate a substantial amount of money if they kissed). Well, anything for a good cause...

I just opened up my mailbox, and lo and behold, the new issue of "Premiere" magazine has Jake Gyllenhaal on the cover. As I raced to scan the article for the words "brokeback," "mountain," and "kiss," I found this lovely little blurb that proves co-star Michelle Williams, who we all know just had Heath Ledger's baby, likes a little BT as much as we do.

Come on guys, for real... )

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!

If you haven't seen it yet, GO! RUN! SEE IT! SQUEE! Do whatever the hell you wanna do, but GO WATCH IT!!!!!

*swoons*

December 9th will never come fast enough.

... so, these are some pictures from the premier, and the ONLY one's I could find with legal/almost legal bt. Apparently, they're being very careful about seeming touchy-feely, lol. I WONDER WHY. I remember reading that "unceremoniously takes him from behind" article as well as the next fellow bt-fan, see if I don't. *drools just thinking about it*

Anyway....

for platonic boylove (OR IS IT OMG!!1!), please, step right this way... )

duuuude...

Please forgive me, for I have no boy touching pictures. But I do have a picture of a certain someone from a certain movie involving... um... MOUNTAINS... that somebody is showing things young eyes shouldn't see... but I edited the picture to black out what was needed.

But I found some... text to go along with the picture. The page was written by an extra on the film, and there is an excerpt of the script. It is of graphic content, but the wording itself is not graphic.

I went through a great length to bring this to you, because I don't want to break any rules of the community. I checked them, but mods, if I have broken the rules (it was a bit unclear on what I wanted to post) feel free to delete it and I won't post anything like it again.

Cut for bare skin and semi-graphic content. )

Kissing Kirsten Dunst wasn't the same after that

"Heath almost broke my nose in a kissing scene. He grabs me and he slams me up against the wall and kisses me. We had other scenes where we fought with each other and I wasn't hurting as badly as I did after that one."

Jake Gyllenhaal, reliving in Elle mag his same-sex love scenes with Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain.

....hominahominahomina.
[identity profile] psychrophobic.livejournal.com
Taken from heathbaby.com, a piece of an article from Elle in which Jake Gyllenhaal talks about Brokeback Mountain.

'After their initial tryst, the young men flee from each other and get married. But four years later one gets in touch with the other and, unable to resist, they arrange a rendezvous. What ensues is an explosion of physical passion so feirce it leaps off the page. 'Heath almost broke my nose in that scene,' Gyllenhaal says, laughing. 'I mean, he's so happy to see me. The great thing was that we decided - well, he grabs me and he slams me up against the wall and kisses me. And then I grab him and I slam him up against the walland I kiss him. And we were doing take after take after take' Gyllenhaal grins. 'I got the sh*t beat out of me,' he says. 'We had other scenes where we fought each other and I wasn't hurting as badly as I did after that one.'

Hi I dont´know if this was posted yet, but i found the info about this interesting upcoming movie and i wanted to share with ya.

Is this info real???? I mean Jake Gyllenhal and Heath Ledger are really cuddling up for the big screens?????, Is this movie already filming?, I beg this be real!!, Jake and Heath TOGETHER!!! playing a gay cowboy couple!!!!, kissing, hugging, havin sex and all that stuff, this is too good to be real!

Originally published November 25, 2003

Ang Lee has signed on to direct the big-screen version of one of the most achingly passionate gay short stories ever written, "Brokeback Mountain" -- and breaking Hollywood news has it that Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger are in talks for the leads.

The script calls for two key roles: Jack Twist and Ennis Del Mar, two Montana cowboys who hide their passionate, emotional relationship from others for 25 years. Forget playing gay -- aging from 19 to 44 is going to call for some pretty serious acting.

So should Jake and Heath saddle up? Or would some other Hollywood hunks make the cutest onscreen couple? And who would be the most convincing queer cowboys? You decide.

One of the two cuties currently in negotiations for a leading role, Jake Gyllenhaal (who's hosting the Sundance Film Festival awards ceremony, airing live this weekend on the Sundance Channel) is one hot young actor on the rise, but whether he'll really be willing to -- um, rise for this gritty gay role remains to be seen. Let's hope so: Though tall and ruggedly built, Jake's also got a bit of a baby face, which would make him perfect in the role of Jack Twist, the younger, more innocent of the two gay cowboys.

Hollywood went crazy!!! definitely!!, and when this movie be released I´ll go crazy to caps the hottest pics :P

Branding him might be tricky

"Looks like I'll be up in Calgary wrangling cattle and Jake Gyllenhaal for two months."

-Heath Ledger, in the London Free Press, anticipating shooting the film Brokeback Mountain in Alberta with Jake Gyllenhaal as his love interest.

Holy. Who doesn't want to see this movie?! Also, dig the title. draw your own conclusions, hee hee.

this is my first post! i feel so happy to contribute to this great community.

anyway, no pictures here, but this is an article on salon.com that talks about the "gay cowboy" movie that jake gyllenhaal and heath ledger may star in. there's an excerpt from the script that is satisfyingly explicit.

no pictures but a bit of news from msn.com:

In what we're guessing will make for an interesting marketing campaign, eye-candy actors Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are in negotiations to star as cowboys in love (with each other) in the Ang Lee-directed "Brokedown Mountain," report the trades. The flick, based on the novella by E. Annie Proulx, will track the 20-year relationship of a ranch hand (Gyllenhaal) and rodeo cowboy (Ledger), who meet while driving cattle in Wyoming in 1961. No start date is set. The long-in-development project has gone through several incarnations: Gus Van Sant was once attached to direct, and Colin Farrell, Josh Hartnett and Billy Crudup have all been considered for saddle duty.
