It Austria and Germany it's mostly just girls doing it to girls, guys doing it to girls, and girls doing it to guys. In fact, in nine months in Austria I never once saw a man kiss a man. Plus, when they do it it tends to be one kiss on each cheek. Same with the British (only it's more common in Austria). Yay for snogging!

being scottish myself i have to say that scottish people don't greet other scots with kisses like THAT. if it were true i'd be much much happier to be scottish. In fact its not really a "european thing" at all. french people do two kisses, some arab states do one kiss to the cheek, russians - kiss to the cheek; mouth sometimes.

Note to self: move to russia.
