um, hi, my name's Soph, this is my introductory post. firstly, I part-run _bandslash and _tangledstars, the latter is Foo Fighters-centric bandslash and the other one is pretty much... any kind of rock music slash, really, if that's anyone's dig. secondly, have a nice bit of Dave/Taylor touchy feely love. and even Brian Baker thinks there's something going on between them. (;

I know, and I think it's beautiful how much they're happy to show off how much they love each other. they are such couple though, they've even admitted it - albeit they say it's 'without the romance' but it wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if they'd experimented behind closed doors.

haha, yes, go do. (: it's so sweet, though. Dave is totally the dominant, protective one and I think he really enjoys being able to care for Tay. and Taylor... I think he is easily an independant person but in interviews and stuff, when it's just him and Dave, he never looks entirely comfortable and tends to shrink behind Dave a lot.

Tay is just soo...he definitely sticks close to Dave when he can. i think he likes being taken care offff. and Dave's always like *keeps Tay close*. they're the cutest thing on earth. really.

so true :D especially since... I mean, reading back over the interviews and whatnot since Taylor joined the band, at first it was always them joking about how they were separatec at birth, and these days they say it's more like 'marriage without the romance' (which I can't exactly believe, there is definately some kind of sexual/romantic tension between them). it's quite a nice little love story, really. yeah, it's a classic "best friends, turned lovers" and really, when you look at them, they're so in love. the picture you posted up above? with Dave drawing on Tay's arm? or whatever? shows it all. the look. so heart warming.

I know, it's adorable. I think it started off mainly as Tay showing off and flirting with Dave... and I guess that's part of the reason why they had that huge argument, because Dave wasn't giving back, upping and leaving the Foos for a while, and I think that really upset Tay. but Dave's learned to love again, so to speak. (:

I own... well, all of the proper official ones, none of the bootlegs or whatever, really... I feel bad 'cause the only one that isn't a copied CD is In Your Honour because I bought that one myself, the rest are burned from other people... but as soon as I get enough spare cash I promise to go and get them n_n

totally get The Colour and the Shape, personally I'd say it's their best, or at least their best for getting into them. that, or 1x1 although a lot of people diss it, even Dave does but I think it's great.

oh yeah, and there's a ton of stuff like Jackson United and Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft, Coattail Riders... ex/side-bands... s'all good.

and IMO, everyone should appreciate the Dave/Taylor. :D

i always just enjoyed their songs as singles but a while back i bought lit riffs (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0743470265/qid=1124360187/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-9472745-1234411?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) (it was three euros and there's chapters "inspired" by 'rio' by duran duran and 'norwegian wood' by the beatles - who am i to pass that up?!) and there's a chapter about 'everlong' and i decided to download it properly for once... and it made me want to get into them more. i'll definitely look for that record - my favourite records by bands are always the ones that even the band can't listen to without cringing, haha.

i read this really great slash by my buddy _sissyneck_, like, ages ago and i kept coming back to another nirvana/foo slash community but that was hardly ever updated so i just thought they weren't very popular as slash-pairings? (how could i have been so silly, right?)

that'll be foovanafics. it got shut down at one point but it's working again now... I set up _tangledstars because FVF was closed at the time. also, I wanted to open it out a bit more to some of the other Foo-centric bands like queens of the stone age and whatnot, rather than it just be focused on Nirvana and the Foos solely. what can I say, I'm a whore *grins* I have FVF on my flist but nobdy seems to really update there any more, which is a shame because some of the writers did some hot shit.

Everlong got me into the Foos. I'd liked the singles off 1x1 (I was a bit of a slow starter, I didn't get into (rock) music until 2002 or so) but I saw and heard Everlong when I was babysitting once (I don't have digital, no music video channels, bah!) and it captivated me so I downloaded it the next day and fell in love. :D
