Has anyone ever watched 'The Tribe', a program on channel 5 (in the UK) about grown ups being killed by a virus and kids having to survive by themselves? Well, I say 'kids' but they look more like 20 year olds to me.

Well anyways, having just bought series 1 on DVD, I found a couple of nice touching moments, and capped them for the world to see.







Near the end of the series, the female lead makes the two main male characters, who argue constantly, hold hands:

Looks to me like they want something to happen, or may be thats just the crazy mad slasher in me?

Capping this has made me want slash fic about them though, so if you've ever watched it and know of any, feel free to reccomend them. Cheers!

Erm. Sorry. I only can catch sporadic episodes on WAM (a kid's channel that I have access to. w00t satellite!!).

I love this show.

And I do believe Lex/Bray slash is in order. (Hmmm.. who'd be the top..) Amber rocks simply because she made Bray/Lex slashers very happy. >.<* (Not to mention she simply rocks..)

And I love how Jack and Lex are looking at each other in the second picture.

And the fangirl has exited the building.

Lex would be on top....I'd love to see Bray put in his place properly (and not by Amber for once!). But they could swap as well I suppose ;)

I've never seen 'The Tribe' but I read a book similar to it...everyone over twelve was killed by a virus or something...but who cares, very nice pictures. XD

the book you are talking about is either written from the series, or the series is based on it, I forget which way round. But, yes, Bray is very hot, and is in another nz thing, a movie called 'the local's which has some slashy moments. Ie when his best friend comes to wake him up, and he is in bed. Mmmmmmm :)

Yeah, they're from episode 40, when they decide not to isolate Lex and Patsy from the rest of the tribe.

So what do the writers do? *tries to avoid a spoiler since she has no idea what season is showing in the UK* They put in something resembling a same-sex relationship... between girls. Oh the disappointment.

I know, their 'attempt' at a gay relationship was a joke, seeing as only one girl saw it that way. And Salene happened to be involved (and no matter how hard I try, I can't like her. I think it's the exaggeration she puts on the accent).

They need to try some m/m if T6 goes ahead. Although I loved loved loved Lex and Tai-San together, you know Lex is so desperate he'll do anything for a lay. Lex/Jack is my fave, but I wouldn't put it past Slade either!

Oh yay, you've seen season 5!

A big YES regarding Lex/Jack. They're so cute, and Jack is the one guy Lex seems to be somehow getting along with. I really like Jack and Elly together, though.
Lex/Slade wouldn't be at all bad either. However I maintain that Ram (stupid, stupid name) definitely has something for Slade.
I wouldn't object to some Jay slash, either... but I can't think of any guy who'd be able to stand him.

Well, I thought Jay/Pride for a while, but I suppose thats out of the question now!

Ram (lol, seriously, I only just realised how funny/ironic his name is!) ... he wants Slade! And I reckon Slade is just a slut, he'll have anyone as often as he can get it ;)

Jack and Ellie was nice, but I don't think she's good enough for him after she cheated on him, and ....yeah, he's too good for her! Jack/Lex 4eva! Unfortunately the only channel that had it here isn't buying it any more, so I can't watch it. S5 ended more than 6 months ago, so I can't remember in too much detail what happened.

I reckon Pride could have had any guy he wanted (may be Lex?).

I only really got addicted in season 5, so everything before that is a bit blurry. When did Ellie cheat on Jack? :/

And of course Ram wants Slade, after the miserable experience he's had with women (the only one who really loved him was a deranged power-hungry sister-killer - and that's coming from someone who liked her), figures he might want to play for the other team... especially now that he's got use of his legs.

Now I really wish they'd get working on season 6 already.

Ellie cheated on Jack in season 3. When the Guardian took over she fell in love with a really powerful member of the chosen and had an affair, while Jack was away (I can't remember but I think he was captured). She wouldn't sleep with Jack but she would with Luke. When Jack came back and found out he left again. It was so unfair because Jack always did whatever she wanted and never put a foot wrong, and Ellie was a bitch to him. But at least that leaves Jack free.....(for Lex).

Ram just has to be desperate, he's been in that chair forever!

I read in an interview that they're not sure there will be a season 6, and its all to do with ratings or something.

Thanks for the info! I have some pretty big gaps in my pre-season-5 knowledge. I still think Jack and Ellie were incredibly cute together in S5, though.

So true about Ram... And the way I see it, he started walking back in Liberty - where (until Java got there) the only person around who could stand his presence was Slade - something must have happened, right?

That's sad news about season 6 - till now I was pretty sure they're definitely going to do it :/ But as long as nothing's certain, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
