Okay, sorry to elfboi666 for deleting his entry, but this is not a rating community. There's loads of other places to post pictures of yourself to get people to rate how you look or to say whether you're hot or not, but this isn't one of them.

Posts like that don't have anything to do with boy touching, and they're just an open invite to flame wars, and that's not what we're looking for here.

From now on, I'll delete posts without saying something first if they're off-topic.

This community is getting to be huge and off-topic posts are not welcome anymore - they annoy people and they clutter the community. So.

I guess posts with links to new communities are fine as long as the communities have something to with boy touching.

Posts that are allowed:
- pictures of boys/men touching
- pictures of boys/men nearly touching
- fanart/illustrations, etc of boys/men touching
- stories of boy touching
- snippets of interviews, quotes, etc, that have to do with boy touching etc.
- links (to new communities, etc) that have to do with boy touching

...and some other stuff too, I guess.

Just don't get too far off the subject, it's annoying for a lot of the members and there have to be some rules.

Go off-topic once, you're warned. You can take the deleting of one of your entries as a warning - do it again and we will ban you.

I'm sorry but it's getting out of control and I love this community, and hope that many of you do too, so there's got to be rules.

i completely agree with you. i'm sure it was okay to go off topic a little when this community was just starting out, but by now it's so huge that if you allow one off-topic post, you'll get zillions, and that's just far too much crap to have to sift through. it's good that you're setting the rules and i, for one, don't think you're being bitchy about it at all. i'm sure all parties involved can agree that you went about this in a very, what's the word i'm looking for... un-bitchy? manner. ^^;

it's more that i personally can't stand those rating communities cos every post is like a flame war in there... if it was like a pretty boys in eyeliner community i guess those posts'd be ok, but this is boy touching and, erm, like the most off-topic-but-still-boy-touching we can get is probably one boy, erm, touching himself? argh let's not give the people bad ideas mwaha.

If it wasn't for Hotmail acting like a complete bitch to me last night, I was going to email you about the issue. Normally, I don't concern myself with community issues, but I just felt the post was obnoxious and had no fitting in the context of a generally adorable community (especially the part about waking up next to him). Also, the complete rudeness by which the person who posted greeted people warning about posting off-topic, implying that communities run by other people were his domain and telling people to fuck off, made me wish to say something even more. So I'd like to thank you for deleting the hubris from this community.

And if you, the elf, reply to this, I will not return it.

i saw that post last night and the first replies seemed harmless so i thought nothing of it but then it ended up being a flame war and posts like that are not worth the hassle, y'know? i'm always a bit scared to take "drastic measures" but i dunno. i guess it's time for me to be a proper bitch moderator from now on... i don't want all this to ruin the community...

i agree with you, Do respect that it was my first post, And never really took the heading boy_touching into consideration, But meh!! do now and well to that over guys post i couldn't care what i type no 1 really owns the web..... unless ur bill gates even he dont own it so i say feel free to what you write and post :)
i have had some mean comments to some of the pics Meh!! thats what there thaughts are not mine :)
but it just shits me a little when people start harping little children :)

aww thankyou :) we're doing our best for this community, but we've both got a life outside of this community (duh, heh) and so we're not always on top of things like this... it feels like whenever i post i'm like the kindergarten teacher and everyone goes "boo you're no fun" but thankyou for that comment. it means a lot :)

Thank you so much for doing this. I really didn't want this list to turn into a ratings community. There are plenty of those out there, which is the great thing about LJ--if you have an interest, you can find other people who share it fairly easily without having to run OT.
