It's in the user-info how to do a cut. It isn't difficult. You simply put: [lj-cut] before the text and or pictures and then: [/lj-cut] after the last picture. Just replace '[ ]' with '< >'.
I was thinking the exact same thing about the icon. I just recently saw Die Hard for the first time in about ten years, and have fallen all back in love with Mr Rickman, so I gave an audible squee when I saw that. ^_^
