So, hi! Since I obviously have nothing better to do and have recently got my hands on a copy of The Big Gay Fat Quiz Of The Year 2006 (as mentioned by [livejournal.com profile] ribrust a few posts prior to this) wot was on Channel 4 the other night for any of you in the UK, I have decided to spam you lovely lot with various boytouchy screencaps from it. Lots of Russell Brand and Noel Fielding making eyes at each other and that sort of thing.

This quiz malarkey, just to explain, is basically just some telly programme Channel 4 has been airing annually since 2003 or summink, and 'reviews' (I use the term loosely) past events of the year, etc. It's usually rather entertaining, all a bit shambolic, and more about the funny than the actual quiz element.

Like everything else on television ever these days, Jimmy Carr presents it:

And this year, the three teams consisted of Cat Deeley and Jonathan Ross, who are awesome:

David Walliams (yergh) but also Rob Brydon, who is pretty great too:

And lastly, but blates most importantly, Noel Fielding and Russell Brand:

Noel Fielding is one half of comedy duo The Mighty Boosh and is a weird, excitable wee chap who, according to Jonathan Ross, looks like the offspring of Rod Stewart and a raven. He is perpetually smiley.

Bless.

He also believes that the correct term for the Muslim veil is, er, peep scarf.

For the uneducated, the other fellow is Russell Brand, who has hair bigger than the universe itself and is pretty much hated by probably 90% of the British public, but, er, I sort of love him, despite the fact that he's a bit of a tosspot. He describes himself as an 'S&M Willy Wonka' and is supposedly 'roaringly heterosexual'. Despite his blatant mancrush on Noel.

And together, they are indestructible.

They don't particularly try to hard with the quiz element of things, as a glance over their answers might indicate...

And instead concentrate on gazing:

Giggling:

And snuggling up to each other like a pair of lovey-dovey lesbian schoolgirls:

Aww.

Other gloriously faggy moments include:

(The promo shot for the Goth Detective series, anyone?)

And, er, so on and so forth. (If I have to type 'img src' one more time I may wither and die and this post is already all over the place, so that's all you're getting. *g*)

Um, enjoy!

I bought the Ed Byrne dvd as a crombo present to myself, he goes on a bout his girlfriend a lot, grarrr! I get jealous ;-) Which is why i wish to capture him and put him in a cage.... along with Dylan Moran, Julian Rhind -tutt, Julian Barratt, Noel Fielding, Juliette Lewis, and maybe John Barrowman.
But they'd have to be in seperate cages!
BUt, oh Ed, how i love thee. I have a huge thing for southern irish accents :-) He hasn't been doing as much recently, maybe it's to do with the dvd release?

As for the hangover, there are two things in life that cure ALL, a cup of tea with a hot water bottle, and a HOT bath.
(been dumped? tea. There's a war on? tea. got cancer? TEA!)
I had to go for the former, as this isn't my house, and GOD did it help! Although i did lay on the bathroom floor a bit and wish for death first. My plan now is to watch the last Torchwood on repeat, as i slept through it earlier, AND i missed the Vicar of Dibley! My little life just is not complete!

Beware! I'd be wanting to steal some of those cages for myself! ;)

LoL Apparently tea is "the English cure for everything", and in my experience this is an accurate stereotype. Not only am I not ashamed of this, I'm even a bit proud of it!

Anyhoo, I hope your hangover's gone, and that you managed to catch up on your programmes. :)
