Caps from Milos Forman's movie version of Hair, because it's frustrating to apparently be the only person to see the slashy subtext between Berger and Claude...
Well, if you take away the context and plot, the pictures are even more suggestive. ;)
I'm not sure if it's a (very brief, if that) kiss, although it's certainly shot suggestively; a moment before Berger was checking Claude's post-LSD-trip pupils. The last sequence of caps is part of Berger's (ultimately fatal) plan to smuggle Claude out of the base with a stolen uniform to see Sheila, the sort-of girl-friend... it's complicated, but not quite what it looks like. Really. *g* Although it is still plenty slashy even in canon.
DUDE, I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. Especially during the "Manchester England" scene, when Berger is like..cradling Claude. It's awesome. I totally thought I was the only one. Huzzah for musicals!
The choreography there is so erotic, I keep thinking the subtext must be intentional... Sure, there's Sheila, the obligatory heterosexual love-interest, but IMO there's something of a complex triangle going on there between Berger, Claude and Sheila...
::shakes head:: I've been toying with the idea of writing something for ship_manifesto, but laziness wins out all the time...
As much as I love Maurice, it's not really a class thing here. Claude is a farm boy from Oklahoma, dressed at his best because he's going to join the army, and Berger is actually from a middle class family.
