Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake
Feb. 6th, 2007 02:47 pmI'm sure a lot of you have already seen/heard about this, but I thought I'd post it for anyone who hasn't. :)
Choreographer Matthew Bourne created a version of the Swan Lake ballet in 1995 where the swans are performed by men instead of women...this, of course, leads to much boytouching when the Prince and the lead Swan have their romantic duet.
( Absolutely beautiful. )
I'd heard of this ballet, but I'd never seen any of it until I found YouTube clips. Now it's definitely at the top of my Netflix queue list! LOL
[Edit] Ooh, I found another Swan Lake clip here. The Prince is at a party, and the Swan shows up in human form and flirts with the women until he and the Prince are alone. The boytouching starts at 5 minutes exactly. :)
