If you want to save a video from YouTube:

Load the page with the video

Got to View in your browser's toolbar and select "view source" or "view page source" (varies from browser to browser)

Do a text search in the source page for "player2"

After the words player2 you'll see a long line of gobbledegook that looks a bit like this: ?video_id=wJAE0eNptpo&l=180&t=OEgsToPDskJReQW5YhEOmYozAMcX8vQb&nc=39168&s=8D217DD1DD762AA1:8A51374783A7BCE6

Copy and paste this code (I like to put it into an email to myself as once it's sent it creates a clickable link) and put ".flv" at the end and "http://www.youtube.com/get_video" at the front. So what it'll look like, in other words, is

http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=wJAE0eNptpo&l=180&t=OEgsToPDskJReQW5YhEOmYozAMcX8vQb&nc=39168&s=8D217DD1DD762AA1:8A51374783A7BCE6.flv

Put that into your broswer's address bar or click the link in the email and your download manager should grab the video.

Note - those codes are session sensitive so the one I just put up there probably won't work, and if you leave it too long after doing it yourself you'll need to do it again.

Hope this helps! :-)
