That is definitely not a platonic kiss. I wasn't aware of the homoerotic lifestyle that Ewan leads until I joined this community. First with the The Pillow Book & now this...

That's the impression that I get too. If you were trying to hide that you were gay, bi, or having affairs, you really wouldn't go around kissing and hugging every man and woman that you meet, which is exactly what Ewan does. I love him for it. He seems like such an affectionate man. Still, that doesn't stop me from fantasizing about him and baz (jude, christian, etc). He's just so darn easy to slash!

Eeeeeexactly. There's not really much doubt in my mind that's Ewan's straight, he's so so so comfortable in his masculinity and he told the Advocate he wasn't gay or bi, so even if there were lingering questions...like, "were there ever any *experiences* BEFORE Eve?" because his fidelity really never was in question...I tend to believe him 100%.

But he should be every director's top choice for any gay, moderately homoerotic, or even mildly homoerotic character. I don't think Ewan should ever, EVER be shoved into a niche...but if he were, what a nice, suitable niche that would be! A girl can dream. Hmm. I'd prefer if he were every director's top choice for homoeroticism of any kind, but only if he were a busy, busy boy and was working on lots of other totally surprising, different, and challenging projects at the same time. I wouldn't leave him any free time, in my ideal world. *cackles malevolently*

Oh, what a world that would be...

And he should embark upon a Velvet-Goldmine-esque venture with Jude like, RIGHT NOW. One measly photoshoot? Not enough for me.
